A nice combination, well executed

I have been using backpack purses for almost ten years, and this one is probably the best one I have had. My biggest problem with most backpack-purses is that they come two ways: too small, and too big. As a mom, I need more space in my purse than just a cute spot for a wallet, checkbook, cellphone, and keys. The larger versions of a purse-backpack so huge it could fit your laptop and two days worth of clothes. This bag is in the middle, and that's why this bag is so nice. It carries all the things the small pack does, and also my PDA, second checkbook, inhaler, pencils, receipts, small notebook, my son's wallet and Nintendo DS, and a number of other smallish things that always seem work their way into my purse.The front zippered compartment is great for receipts, club cards and prescriptions (both filled and script). It is easily accessable from the outside by just lifting the flap on top of the bag. But what I really like is the side back zippered compartment. It is a great place for keys. I can even just reach back and grab my keys without having to take the whole pack off.The inside compartments are well done, with a nice back zippered pouch for small things, and places for several pens, a cell phone, and a PDA (although if you have a small phone it may be a bit big). The leather was a nice quality - substantial without being heavy, and interior material seems heavy enough that it won't be tearing easily.I will be using this bag for a long time to come.

A little too small, a little too big, Not JUST right.

The red is actually a bit orange-red, I prefer a deeper red. I would have liked more inside pockets and some elastic straps to hold small bottles. The outside pockets are perfect and well hidden, and easy to organize travel documents. I found the overall size too small for a carry-on for jewelry, medication, camera, iPad, phone & accompanying cords and accessories, a shawl, etc. And it seems slightly too large for shopping in foreign ports, perhaps this is due to the stiffness of the leather. Delivery was exactly as promised.

Improving You Aiming In Pool

There are many aids designed to improve one's pool game. Some are noteworthy while others leave a lot to be desired. I would state that is a noteworthy accessory.At first glance, this item seems overly simple; shoot a cue ball to hit the center light beam of this device. It defintely is not as easy as one might anticipate and it requires considerable practice to achieve repeated success.In summary, a proper stroke, concentration and practice are the key elements to scoring with this device. These are also traits of someone who attempts to master the game of billiards. This device will definitely improve your aim, bank shots or kick-in.

Works better than electric heaters!

We bought this item originally as an inexpensive, alternative heat source in the Winter, when we can lose electricity for hours, even days, when a bad storm rolls through.It quickly became our main heat source -- as unlike the two, 15,000 btu, electric space heaters we'd been using -- this can heat a cold room within 30 minutes. And, all by itself, heats the entire house better than those two other heaters running together. And we only once turned it to the third setting. It usually stays on 1.To clarify, we live in a very small space: 750 square feet in a very old, single-wide, with windows that no longer seal well. The weather here is moderately cold -- we drop into the teens rarely, but stay solidly in the mid 20s-early 30s at night in winter. Days stay in the 30s. With the exception of if we have one of those storms, then all bets are off.We ran this, with a little supplementary electrical heat during the day -- I suspect if we'd got the 30,000 btu one, it would have heated the house completely, even on the colder days.We don't run it at night, as it's in the living room. And because we're a little chicken of running propane when we sleep. But, in the morning, it brings the room quickly back to toasty -- never more than 30 mins.We installed it ourselves -- with a bit of help from my uncle. Runs with two 50 lb=10 gal tanks. One tank lasts just about a week in the colder weather, and costs $24 to fill. So it's only a hundred a month -- half what our heating bill was last year.Last year, even with 3, electric, 15,000 btu heaters running, the house was never as toasty warm as it is with this propane heater.Only note: If you use the tanks, only turn the knob slightly on. We found it eats through propane quicker if turned fully on. But has no apparent ill effect if the tank is only barely turned on.And?The blue flames are just lovely. :)Highly recommended!

It puts out heat.

This has been a good little heater for me so far, I am using to heat a fish house. I'm not sure about the review stating that it need to be professionally installed though, to connect it to a 20 lbs cylinder (BBQ tank) you need buy a separate house with a regulator. It is available through Mr. Heater, part # F273072 (12' Propane Hose/Regulator Assembly), I purchased this at my local hardware store.My only complaint on this heater is that the built in fan doesn't move any air. I'm not even sure why they put it in there, because it really doesn't do anything. I just bought a separate fan to circulate the air and have been pleased with it.

Mr. Heater

I recently installed this unit in my two car attached garage. I ran black pipe through the wall and attached it to a 20lb LP tank from my grill until I can get a bigger tank. The unit puts out good heat. It comes on at full so dont think you can adjust the output. But what it does do is bring the room up to temp then cycle off per the thermostat. Has some odor but I think that will disapate as it ages and burns off any newness. Battery operated ignition works very well. The only fault I find is the fan. It appears big enough but does not move a lot of air, design flaw perhaps. What it does do well is cycle on and off on it's own if you put it on the auto setting, good feature. I have not had it long enough to determin the gas usage, have my fingers crossed on that one. Overall I am very pleased as it out performs my electric ceiling mounted heater as well as a 23000 btu kerosene heater.

First Piel bag purchase and love it!

I bought the dark brown bag. The bag is a perfect size for me. I'm 5'1" and 125 lbs (plus or minus 30 lbs haahaa). The leather is nice and soft and can still hold itself structurally. I love all things leather but I would not consider myself an expert. That said... the edges of the leather are folded in and sewn together. I prefer that over exposed edges that are painted with a rubber substance that peels off with age thus exposing the bluish green color underneath (a result of the undyed portion of the leather). There is a very small portion of exposed edge that are not folded over nor painted but you have to look for them to see them. The stitches are done well and looks to be of good quality.My other thoughts: The outside and inside zipper pockets are on the same side of the purse and therefore it competes for space if you are the type to overstuff. I would have liked the phone pocket 4 3/8" X 2 1/2" (I'm referring to the smaller inside pocket of the two) to be less deep because it's difficult (not impossible) to grip and grab your iphone. As for the larger pocket 4 3/8" X 3", it would be nice for it to be wider. Putting small trinkets in this pocket would make it hard to retrieve, pens work. Two outside pockets are convenient for those much needed quick grab-or-stuff moments. The outside zipper is also convenient but for those quick grab-or-stuff items that needs security.Overall it's practical and functional for my everyday use and looks great! I love it.

Shutoff valve unreliable

This heater operates as advertised if the thermocouple-secured shutoff valve allows the flame to turn on. It takes a lot of fiddling with the shutoff valve to turn to the two 'on' positions even after the pilot has been lit for 15 min. The pilot alignment appears to be as shown on the instruction manual. I find this difficult lighting to be a nuisance.

Great Heater! Heats 1260 sq ft quickly

I use this heater in a relatively unisulated (only 1.5" thick fiberglass on steel building walls) 1260 sq ft building (30'x42'x14'). It has an easy starting push-pin and an easy to rotate knob for adjustment of high/low. There isn't much sound difference between high/low, but there is definitely less gas usage on settings less than high.The manual recommended checking all the fitting connections on the included hose for leaks. I kinda took that for granted assuming the unit should be perfect. After 2-3 uses found a leak at one of the fittings. It was quickly corrected with removal and re-installation using thread sealant, but it just goes to show that reading the manual and following the directions are always a safe bet.Like any open propane heater, this unit has no way of venting out doors so you want to make sure and use an appropriate Carbon Monoxide detector along with proper ventilation of the enclosed space. I have a CO detector that plugs into the wall, but mostly I just don't leave the heater on for more than an hour max, and make sure to ventilate/get outside every once in a while when working in the cold condtions.Excellent quality overall. Follow the directions and you should have no issues.

Great Garage Heater

I live in Kansas where the winter is always from 0 to 30, my 3 car garage is half finished with r19 and no drywall. Need to work in the garage, usually it's about 10 degrees warmer then the temp outside. 22'w X 30'l x 11' h. cracked the back door to the garage and fired it up on low for about 20 minutes it was comfortable for jeans and sweatshirt. Easy hook up, fittings do not seem to be leaking at this time but will keep a look out. Slight propane smell but was expected. All in all Good Buy!

I needed a heater to warm my garage in cold weather. This heater is exactly what I needed. It warms my 3 car garage, in only a few minutes. It is economical to run. I had used an electric heater which cost a fortune to run. If you need to heat an area quickly, just aim it in the direction needed. It's size is deceiving, when I first saw it, it seemed so small, I thought that I'd made a mistake. In this case size does not matter. Works wonderfully!!

I love this bag! It is stylish and practical, and the apple green color is beautiful. I was worried about the lack of interior dividers/pockets, but it hasn't been a problem. It has room for my macbook and my woman stuff. It doesn't hold everything at once, and it's not quite high enough to accommodate file folders, but I don't mind bringing an extra bag every now and then for those things.

lots o' storage

First of all, this is your typical fiberboard product with a flimsy cardboard backing. That said, I am very happy with this purchase. The visible areas of the tower are finished nicely and do not look cheap. I have over 600 movies and they fit just fine with a little room to spare for odd shaped media. The directions are okay but could use some more detail. Assembly took about two hours but I was going slow and took a couple beer breaks. The worst part of this assembly was trying to attach the backing without punching a nail through the finish...I failed. They supply a cover-up marker for damage to the finish so the end result looked pretty good in spite of my wayward hammer. I just needed a place to store my dvd`s. This tower fits great in my basement since it only sticks out about nine inches from the wall.

attractively designed, well-made unit

As noted in other reviews, this unit is made of particle board, but I have to say that the pieces are well-machined and the material seems denser than what I've seen in other furniture of this sort. There was no damage in the shipment, perhaps because the unit was shipped in two packages: one for the main, larger pieces, and a smaller package containing the actual shelves. All of the assembly hardware was included, although the various pieces were in the same bag. (the ample supply of shelf pegs were bagged separately, at least, so it wasn't a big deal to sort them out). Assembly took a couple of hours and was pretty straightforward, but make sure you keep an eye on the instructions. I have the unit situated in my basement where the concrete floor slopes up slightly within the last couple inches before the wall, so to keep the unit from leaning outwards, I added a rail underneath the front of the base. This put most of the weight against the wall, and it's rock-solid.As for the reason it was purchased in the first place (STORAGE!), it's awesome; it's really great to have all my CDs and DVDs in one place instead of stacked on various shelves or in boxes. The peg holes are configured to allow all sorts of arrangements, whether you're storing CDs, DVDs, or paperback books.

5* for what it is

There just aren't enough inexpensive options for storing up to 1,000 DVDs. Most get throttled for being cheaply made or not sturdy enough.I'm happy to say that for what this is, it's a really great value. It's not a custom made piece of furniture, nor is it going to withstand a hurricane, but it's a great option for inexpensive storage. It was easy to assemble and the instructions were comprehensive. I assembled it myself, but I've also had a reasonable amount of experience assembling IKEA furniture lately. Most people are probably going to want a 2nd set of hands to help avoid making mistakes.The only part of this rack I'd criticize is the back. As usual, you're getting the bi-fold cardboard. The biggest problem is it doesn't fit edge to edge, so you're screwing around trying to maximize the contact with the backing while not penetrating the interior finish. I'm not sure how much harder it would have been to make the stupid pieces an extra 1/2 inch tall and wide, but if you're listening Prepac, please consider doing so. Along this line, if there was a more rigid material that could provide more structural integrity than cardboard without substantially affecting the price, you might want to consider making that move. Paper is paper. It tears, swells, warps, etc.5* for what it is; 2* for the pain in the fanny installing the backing.

attractive and it fits!

So glad to have found this. I needed a toilet paper holder to fit in a small space and this one is perfect. It even fits in w/ the square fixture decorating scheme in the bathroom.

Elegant and useful portfolio

I purchased this portfolio for my son who just graduated college and starts interviewing for graduate school soon. I wanted a light portfolio to hold resumes and writing samples and also his Kindle Fire, for those times he has to spend in waiting rooms. The Chocolate color is a nice warm brown, the lining is a light color (which makes it easy to see items inside), and the portfolio is well-made. My son was pleased with the gift.

Beautiful inside, very nice outside

The inside has very handy pockets for pens, small items and business cards. The zipper is high quality. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the imperfections in the leather that were larger than I would have preferred.
