Overall good buy for the price

I just assembled the entertainment center 2 nights ago and so far so good.Here are, in my opinion, the pros and cons of this unit:Pros:1. Instructions were easy enough to follow: The unit came with a 25 page instruction manual (mostly pictures with a few words). All of the hardware, screws, wood pieces, etc were given different letter labels in the manual to make following the directions easier.2. All you need to put it together is a hammer (only at the end to nail the back cover on), a standard philips screwdriver and a flathead screwdriver.3. The TV opening is large enough to hold my 42" widescreen TV...with 6" of width to spare. It's extremely hard to find an enclosed entertainment center, for larger TVs, at such a reasonable price.4. The cabinets and drawer are great for hiding DVDs, VHS, CDs, videogames, etc.5. The top of the unit can serve as a faux mantel piece for picture frames, etc.6.It's very sturdy once put together and looks like it's worth much more than the $159 I paid for it.7. There are cutouts at the back of the unit to manage cord flow, and for easy hookup access into the TV, etc.8. The affordable price!Cons:1. Unit is very heavy. Assembly can be done by one person (you assemble while laying the unit on it's back) but once you're ready to lift it and stand it upright you definitely need at least two people.2. B/c I assembled mostly by myself, it took close to 3 hours to put everything together b/c there are close to 200 screws and 60 nails to put in, and multiple pieces of wood to put together.3. I'm not a big fan of the striations in the wood. They are more prominent in person than what you see advertised.That's really it for cons, so not bad at all. The additional information I would give is:1. Unit cannot hold a tv that weighs more than 240lbs.2. Be very careful to follow directions closely while assembling, as one small mistake could make you have to start all over again.3. Be sure to line up the pieces as close to perfect as possible, b/c one offset can mess up pieces that follow.4. Finally, enjoy the entertainment center! After the hard work, it was worth it b/c it is truly a great addition to our living room.

Great piece of furniture

I bought this entertainment center through a local store and am very pleased with it so far (I only just bought it and put it together today). I didn't realize how heavy it would be (although every site I looked at had the weight clearly listed -- sometimes I just don't pay attention). Once I managed to scoot it out of my car and into my living room, it took me about 4 hours to put together (by myself, I felt like Wonder Woman). I had no trouble flipping the entire thing over by myself to attach the backing. The instructions were very clear, none of the materials were missing (it actually came with some extra), and everything fit together perfectly. The only thing that I got hung up on was the backing. Stupid me put the thing on upside down (there are perforated areas in the backing to make it easier to cut sections out for the back of a TV or for cords, so it does matter which way it goes on) and I didn't realize it until I had already nailed down one end. Had to rip the backing up around the nails to get it off so I could flip it around and put it on the right way, but it's not noticeable at all. Just make sure you have it on the right way before the first nail goes in!!Now that it's all together, it's very beautiful. I would definitely recommend getting this. The anguish that goes into putting it together is worth it.

Solar/Atomic Mudman Review

This is my first review on the Amazon facility so, be kind to me. I have had my GW9000 for about 4 weeks now and I'm very happy with it. The solar and atomic features perform as advertised. I love a watch that keeps near perfect time and requires nothing from me except to place it near a window at night. Mine even syncs when I am wearing it. The solar feature works very well also Again, not much for me to do except get it in the sun from time-to-time.The solar/atomic Mudman is also quite comfortable. The strap is much softer and pliable than that on my old DW6900. Instead of having the stainless steel case back resting directly on the wrist, the Mudman has some little rubber nubs that rest on the wrist. This allows air to pass between the watch back and the wrist making for a cooler more comfortable experience.The watches timekeeping features are the usual array of date, time, alarms, etc. All in all, a good rugged watch.

Another great G-Shock

Well I've only had this watch a couple of days but so far it's awesome. It is replacing another Atomic G-Shock that served me well. I'm a firefighter/paramedic and it's nice to be able to put on a watch and forget about it and just know that it will be working just fine when I need it. This is solar powered, so no worries about a battery ever dying. One new feature compared to my old G-Shock is the multi-band time sync. Not only does it pick up a signal from Colorado, but if you find yourself in the UK, most of Europe, or Japan it will sync in those locations as well. A count down timer is featured on this watch, which was missing from my old one. One useless (to me) feature of my old watch was the time logger. As far as I can tell, Casio has dropped this pointless option with this new Mudman. Like all G-Shocks, it's built like a tank. G-Shocks are just too tough for me to see myself ever wearing anything else. One word on the price...I was able to find it noticeably cheaper on another site...so look around.

The GW9000 Is the same Feel and look as the Original G9000 Mudman - Band, Case, Bezels with Gshock Looks. You Lose features that made the Mudman Great and Gain Solar and Atomic Time Correction which are Wonderful Features. Atomic keeps to the Second - Here in NJ, Atomic sync works even away from a window in the early morning hours.What you LOSE from the Original Mudman is A-LOT of nice features.Lose - Dual Stopwatches 1 and 2 Up to 999hrs each with Indicators in Timekeeping mode Red-Green bars top and bottom of LCD area, 0-60min each.Lose - Flash alarm or alert. When any Alarm or Signal sounds, the Backlight Flashes with it.Lose - The Very Bright and Crisp DUAL Lum-backlight which lights up the LCD and the Bezel Wording all at once with up to 5seconds of lamp time. Very nice looking.Lose - 24hr countdown timer with Repeat functions.Lose - Setting Of Alarms to a Month or Date.Lose - Day of week and Date all at one shot on one screen. No button pressing from one to the other.Lose - Viewing the Time while in other functions.Other Little things on the GW9000 All the - - - - - - - MARKS?The Little Check boxes next to your indicators is also Cheap/wimpy. Why not make them a Letter "Battery Charge L M H" instead of - - - next to inked LMH. Kinda Cheap feeling there for a 150.00 retail Mudman.The Atomic Eye Stamps/Markers at the top tells you if your watched sync-ed up the night before is Very Odd. Most are just a Single Marker like on a Pathfinder. Why they Have Five EYEs is kinda pointless.Sorry GW9000 Mudman, I do still own you.. And love the Solar/Atomics Pathfinders and Gshocks, The Mudman G9000 is a better buy feature wise 50-60 bucks. Battery 18-36 months @ 4bucks a battery.

Carolina oak computer desk

Beautiful and wonderful desk, it's " L " shaped so it fits in the corner utilizing space better than a straight desk - has plenty of space for my needa & has a pull out keyboard shelf. It does take attention to assemble and persistance - about 2-3 hours, I obviously assembled mine correctly, all the parts were there, & I am delighted with it ! ! !

Excellent Diagnostic Tool!

I spent a considerable amount of time looking at all the major offering of this tool. From about $300 down to the el-cheapo versions for about $60. I finally went with this unit from Climate Dr's. As I anticipated I can perform static readings across the gas valve when adjusting water column. Many times this season I was only able to get valve output "close" to spec due to lower than normal inlet pressure that would have gone undiagnosed if I were only using a single port tool. In some cases with out having a static reading a tech may mis-diagnose it as a bad gas valve, likewise if I have good inlet pressure and poor/no output pressure this would indicate a BAD VALVE. It is a good quality unit that is easy to calibrate and use, this is the first heating season I am using it and it has already paid for its self in saved diagnostic time and accurate diagnostics. The price I paid was by far the BEST going, since after I narrowed down the product I wanted I spent a considerable amount of time price shopping. I deal with the major HVAC supply houses and NONE of them could even come remotely close th the price I paid. Climate Docs also had a great deal on a matching case by FieldPiece that fits it like a glove with extra room for allen keys, extra barbs/hose, etc. Even with the added expense of the case it was WELL WORTH the purchase!!!Great Job Amazon and Climate Doctors!!!

I purchased this to replace a more expensive Supco manometer I had. I had the Supco for about a year before it started to leak internally. This is definitely more heavy duty than the Supco. It has a "zero" button that the Supco didnt have. I use this everyday, and it is accurate. This unit comes with two hoses about 4' long as opposed to the 10" hoses the Supco came with. It also comes with useful adapters. I highly recommend this.

Al Mar Hawk Folding knife excels

In 64 years I've never owned a finer pocket knife. This is the third one -- they seem to get lost. The action is very tight and stays that way through all the abuse. The blade and handle always act as one unit. The hinge never weakens or loosens. True, you do need strong hands to push the thumb lock and this is no fast-opening tactical knife. One has to be deliberate. This is no penalty at all for a knife that acts the same after five years as it does new. The steel is superior. But you have to be ready to apply your best knife sharpening skills. I use a diamond lapping "stone" to reconstruct the edge because kitchen knife sharpeners are not quite hard enough. I can use them for light touch up but once every six months I get out the diamonds. I use the knife daily, often many times. When used for cutting it cuts. I don't use it as a hammer. It is light and flat but capable. I'm never embarrassed about whipping it out to cut meat at a fancy restaurant. It is sleek and handsome without a trace of hillbilly.

Way too tight for me.

This is a very well designed knife. The fit and finish is among the best I've ever seen: the grind and the manufacturing tolerances are noticeably better than the Spydercos or Kershaws that I own. The knife is super light, and amazingly sharp. I really want to like this knife, really I do.But I don't. It's just too danged tight to open, and after two weeks of fiddling and oiling it's still not loosening up. I respect that this is not intended to be a fast opening tactical blade, but it is marketed as a one-handed opener. I just want a quality EDC pocket knife that I can open with one hand, and this isn't it.If the knife loosens up in time, I will update this review. As it is, though, I wish I had bought something else instead.

Al Mar knives are amazing!

I didn't buy a Al Mar Knife from Amazon but from Cutlers Cupboard back in like 1999 in a shopping mall in Escondido CA. I loved the knife, it's a serrated Falcon Ultralight #094/200 back in June of 1998. I lost this knife and was packed for years in a box (2007 till now) I recently found this knife this week and was surprised that after all this time laying there it works the same as it always has. The other review that these knives stay true to form is fully correct. This is a nicely crafted knife and now that I have found it again will be something that I will use for many more years. Great affordable price for a great piece. Not some POS sold at the Wal-Mart sporting crap section.

Western Digital Passport 250 GB - Nice Looking Portable External HD

WD Passport Portable Hard Drive 250 GB/GoOut of the passport lineup, this is the fourth one I've bought and I couldn't be more happy with them. Passport hard drives also have a new and slightly thicker essentials version. I own both, which other than the slightly different form factor are very similar in terms of performance. Both are great for mobile backups of data, but both are also slower to copy large backups than their A/C powered MyBook big-brothers.There's also a newer version that isn't out on Amazon yet and an Elite version.The LooksThe drive has the shiny exterior sported by most passport drives as well as the new MyBooks. The body has an offset shape with a blue activity light. The white version may appeal a little more to Mac users, but the black version is the same in every other way.The case does scratch in transit and the surface also attracts fingerprints and dust. But the look is still nice and you can easily purchase a case or holder for the drive if it bothers you. Most versions don't ship with the included case, but you can pick it up for $10.The FeaturesTransfer speeds are ok but definitely slower than it's A/C powered big-brothers. This guy is still limited by the 480 Mps connection speed of USB 2.0, but performs somewhat slower than this when performing large backups. The USB2.0 speed rating can not really be achieved in production and you will get a fraction of that. But it's a trade-off that's worth it since it's USB-powered.The software utilities included with this device will be most useful for beginners. I tested the backup software in particular but found it to be slow and impractical. It works, but cutting and pasting worked better. Take my advice: don't use this utilities and just do cut and paste backups and saves to this drive.I've had no problem connecting this drive to any computer, including Windows XP, Vista and Mac OS X.ReliabilityI've had good luck with the passport line of drives. They seem to have lower failure rates than many MyBook drives, though I also own those and haven't had issues their either. I hope it stays that way. Maybe my gentle care has helped me to get lucky with these guys so far. Maybe it's because these drives are generally off when in transit. Regardless, these guys have held up fine.Pros+ Nice portable form factor that easily connects via USB+ USB powered, no A/C required, which is great for portability+ Works well on Windows Vista, XP and Mac OS X+ Easy to set up disk encryption for security and privacy+ Nice looks, in my opinion better looking than the new essentials version+ Turns on and off with your computer or easily ejected via system tray+ Easy plug-and-play installation+ Integrates nicely with my growing stable of WD MyBook drives+ Included software may be useful for some novices+ 250 GB capacity is just about right for most users+ At this price, a better value than the 320GB passportCons- Somewhat slow file transfer speeds for larger backups- Included software not useful for power users- Shiny body attracts scratch, fingerprints and dust- Have to spend your cash to get a case that should have been included- Larger sizes availableConclusionThis drive is great or those who want a portable drive for backups on the run. You can get this 250GB version for around $100, versus the $150 charged for the 320 GB Western Digital 320 GB Passport 2.5" USB 2.0 Hard Drive. That makes the price ($ per GB) better and this 250 GB unit a better value than the higher capacity 320 GB. Other than price and capacity there is no real difference between them. Works perfectly

I bought this product on amazon, and it works beautifully. I just plugged it in, and it was immediately detected. When I first took it out of the package, I thought there was some mistake because of how lightweight this thing is; it almost feels like a solid state drive (definitely isn't though). It's not as fast as the WD MyBook, but that's because its only 5400RPM as opposed to 7200RPM, but its definitely worth it for the extra portability. Also, the white looks beautiful next to my Mac!

I had to send it back after 2 weeks.

After using this product just fine with my dell for two weeks, I got a new Apple computer. When trying to reformat this hard drive, It totally failed. Thankfully wd honored the warranty and promptly sent me a new one. I should note that this was after I tried to navigate their user-unfriendly website for an hour and then I got yelled at by both the Apple Genuis Bar who said I must have broken it and the wd "help" line by a man who hardly spoke english and did not want to help me at all. That said the new one works just fine... for now.

Keratinocytes are cells that produce the protein Keratin, a strong and fibrous protein that makes up the hair, nails, and skin. Through the growth process, keratin is knitted into the hair shafts. When Keracyte is introduced, hair grows back stronger and thicker.

The cells known as melanocytes are responsible for hair color. These cells produce and contain the pigment known as melanin, which gives us coloring in our skin, eyes, and hair. In response to Keracyte, these cells begin to once again produce your natural hair color.

My hair is so healthy!

My mom has used the Dermalastyl and keracyte products for years and she has got me hooked on them now! I am in college and have a thick full head of hair, however, my hair dries when I get out of the shower in like 5mins. So I tend to get really dry scalp and rough hair, I have been using Keracyte-b for a little over two months now and I am amazed how my hair has truly improved! I have silky smooth hair and never get dandruff now! It's worth the money. TRUST ME.

Ditch that new video game, get this instead!!!

I know this review is about the product itself - such as the quality/build/value etc. However, I must begin by saying a few words on the importance of this item.This is probably one of the most significant purchases you can make for your little one. This is where it will all begin - a private, very own place for them to be creative. Sure, the coffee table or the dining table would work - but this where he/she is the boss. Practicing writing ABCs on the dotted lines, coloring a flower or even solving a small puzzle - this is their very own personal space. So, yeah - ditch that new video game you were about to buy and get this instead.So, basically for the same reason I wanted to get my son a small desk/table and a chair. But I was blown away by the lack of selection and higher prices everywhere. I mean, if you compare the prices to a full sized furniture - it's crazy. So, my search for a desk found me this set. I found this to be the most value for money. I should mention that I purchased this set at a different retailer because it was cheaper there.The desk and the chair come un-assembled, but it's not too much work to assemble them. You should be able to do it in about 30 minutes. One tip for assembly is that do not tighten the bolts/screws all the way at first. Just barely enough to hold the pieces together. Then put in on a flat surface, like on a table, and finish the assembly.After the assembly, both the desk and the chair seems solid. The thickness of the legs are only about 1/2", really wish they were a little thicker. But they are still sturdy. I like the desk, which has a good-sized compartment under the top surface. It can hold some books, papers, pencils etc. The lid (or the top) goes up and down effortlessly and it has a mechanism that prevents it from falling straight down. You will need to actually push it down all the way to close all the way. There is also a recessed area below the top so that the top will never close shut catching on little fingers, nice!! The color matches the one shown in the picture.As pictured, the desk has a chalk-board top, however, it's not dull black like in the classrooms. My son hasn't used this as a chalkboard yet.The top of the desk is slanted JUST A LITTLE, enough to roll a round pencil, but anything flat will stay put. There is a slot towards the edge of the desk where you can put the pencils/pens. The top is actually flat enough to be used as a little dining space. My son sometimes will have his lunch but we use a place-mat.Overall, I am happy about the purchase. It's a good value and I love seeing my kid writing his ABCs on this desk. RECOMMENDED.

Disappointed

We just received this set, was super excited but when we opened the box, we had two problems. First, at the edge of the blackboard, a part of the wood was detached. Before purchasing I notice that this was a common complaint but surly I was in denial that I would not receive it that way, but I did :(. Second, as I began to unpack the desk, I see not just one, but two splits on both sides of the chair where the the screws needed to go. I was so disappointed as well as my 7 yr old who was so excited to have her table assembled and ready to use. I called the company to complain about the problem, they were more then understanding and quickly sent out a new part. So with all the trouble I still like the set, and believe it or not we are going to order another one just as soon as I am done writing this review. SO buyers beware of some minor or major damages.

Great preschool desk!

We got this desk for my 3-yr-old after waiting months for it. Looking online in Jan., we decided it seemed to suit our needs, but couldn't find it available anywhere. Contacted the manufacturer, who were making more, but we still had to wait months for it to become available. But it was worth waiting for! My (fairly tall) son fits it perfectly, and I don't think he'll outgrow it anytime soon. It was very easy to assemble, and is sturdy and attractive. It doesn't feel cheap in the least (like so much kid's furniture can). We can fit all my son's coloring books and his tin of crayons inside, so my kitchen table is much less cluttered now! It really is a lovely piece of furniture for the price.

Don't sweat the small stuff... and it's all small

I am disappointed with this cartridge because of the inherent size limitations and lack of variety. It's really too bad the designer couldn't have thought about the modern invention of glue and made a few designs that could be cut in parts and assembled, thus allowing a larger finished size. On a 12x12 mat the largest square box you can get is not even 3 inches by 3 inches. There isn't an option for a square box that is shorter than it's base (cube only), and yet the cartridge has more tags than any sane person could possibly need. There are 3 (count 'em) three useful box designs, and I don't think they are very well planned proportionally. I suppose if you really want a match box for holding matches, you're in luck. I like the wedge-shaped box for its novelty... I'm hoping a 12x24 cutting mat will yield something that would actually hold a slice of (very short) cake. All in all, I'm not thinking this cartridge will get much use around my house. I regret the money I spent on it, since origami boxes are much better (no raw edges) and can be made any size I want.

This is a very useful cartridge however, you're limited to only small boxes if you have the 6x12 Cricut cutter. Better buy for those with the 12x24 machine!

This is one that is hard to find in stores. It is perfect for making small boxes for party favors, tags of many kinds for gifts or for scrapbooking. One of my friends even said you could make great Barbie or Brat doll purses with it!
