Easy On/Off - Protects suberbly
By Bycycle Dude
I ride with a bike club group ride every day rain or shine. I found most fenders the riders have on their road bikes were seat post mounted. And pretty short in length -- Which still allowed splash in my face when following behind. There isn't enough room on my seat post as I have some other things taking up the space. So I can not use that type of mounting. With these fenders I didn't need either fender mounting holes, nor did I need to attach it on to a seat post. These are very light weight. Best thing is they really cover down over the back wheel very well, and with the new Soft-Spoiler' included, an addtional piece that is snaped on the very end of the fender it really keeps not only me dry but those riding right up close behind me. I had no problem with clearance issues. I didn't have to do any 'adjusting' of them. Right out of the package I put them on in about 3-4 minutes! I purchased the 700/23-32 size as I use 23 (size tires) in the good weather and go to 25's in the winter weather/rain/light snow. These were so easy to put on - and the rubber straps will make it a 3 second job to remove them. It even comes with a clear protective sheet to put on your frame if you think the part that rests on your stays will mess up your paint/frame. I didn't bother with that as it looked like they are not going to move around to scratch anything. I highly recommend these because they are easy to use, very light weight, and great on a road or road racing bike. Best of all they really do the job. I put them on a Trek WSD Madone 5.9.

Raceblades
By Benjamin Sutton
Good fenders. I think a bit overpriced. Rubber bands are sturdy, but I would alternate direction you install each bracket. That way each band is pulling opposite to the other. That way one is left the other right that way the mount stays center on the fork. If not every bump is going to jostle the mount and cause the fender to rub. I have not tried the zip ties yet maybe if I find the need to install permanently I would. These are plastic, the plastic does shift and sway, say if your on a power stroke or just starting. As well the shape may change out of nowhere. My buddy has a pair the same style that are metal and are shaped to your wheel and a bit cheaper. The plastic needs to be adjusted by the brackets holding to the wire, to form the right shape. It takes some time to get all the little things done correctly, but once done, 5 minute install and removal.Pros:Strong BandsEasy install/removalLight weightCons:OverpricedNo matter how good you install, you are going to hear it rub the wheel at some pointThe little adjustments can be annoying.Overall:The shipping was on time, in good condition, with extra bands and zip ties, also not shown in the picture is a mud flap that attaches.Hope this helps

A workable solution for "mount-challenged" bikes
By Matthew Wachowski
My bicycle has a carbon front fork and does not accept conventional fenders so I gave these a try. After riding in the rain several times, I can say that they work fine.Installation only took a few minutes, although I had to tweak the positioning a few times to avoid tire scraping in all circumstances (going over bumps, etc). After riding scrape-free for a ride or two, I applied the optional-and-included zip ties to give the fenders a bit more permanence. I also installed the included bracket screws to keep the fender shape from changing unintentionally (initially, the fender needs to be shaped to the tire / frame profile of your bike; this is done by sliding the brackets). An issue I still have is that the gap between the rear fender and my rear rack is small, so the two can contact each other when going over larger bumps. I've looked into it a bit, and am still not sure how to prevent this; its something I can live with for now.I'll also say that these fender look very nice (as far as fenders go). I was expecting these to completely nullify the sporty look of my bike and was pleasantly surprised that the bike still looks good with them installed.
