Band color wears off - disappointed

This watch is beautiful, I bought it for my husband for Christmas as he wanted a non typical silver or gold watch. This gunmetal color was the perfect medium and he loved it. However he works at a desk and within a week of wearing the watch the color on the band wore off on the links that touched the desk and revealed the silver metal color underneath. We understand at this price point there may be some wear but after a week? If you rest your wrist on a desk or table be prepared that the band will wear. I have read other reviews now of other gunmetal and black metallic banded watches and they say the same thing so desk workers beware!
