At last a truly functional crutch

Because of a catastrophic auto accident years ago I have had a lot of experience with crutches. With recent foot surgery I decided I wouldn't put up with the same old inadequate crutches and went looking online. Since I am 6'4" they were always too short and I was always bent over. These crutches are designed to be used standing erect which prevents back pain since you are not bent over or your body distorted. The piston in the bottom section helps cushion the upper body with each step. It does take a little learning about the folding feature but it is effective and means I can take the crutch on planes easily. Visits to a hospital usually involves staff marveling over my crutches which is a whole new experience. I can't say I have come up with a problem or discovered a flaw. They are truly sturdy and I expect they will be passed on to my children. After all, from time to time almost all of us have the misfortune of needing crutches.

I ordered these a few weeks ago before my upcoming ACL surgery. They are extremely functional, reliable and frankly a lot of fun. (How often do you say that about crutches, eh?) Everywhere I go people want to know where I got them, even the PT folks and doctors.Easy to put together and easy to use. (Still you might want to practice a bit with them, because the piston action is a bit different from traditional crutches. I'm very happy with my purchase.
