The color name was a bit misleading (taupe is usually lighter), but it does look like the photo, a warm brown.Easy to put on. A bit tricky to keep the corners tucked in, but easy enough to straighten. Square arms on our sofa don't fill in as nicely as the photo, but we could pad them, if we wanted to bother.Fabric looks like it would snag easily, however, so that when a kitten visited us, we put a blanket over the sofa just in case.Delivery was very fast.
