Favorite Titanium Watch

I have an earlier version of this watch and even though it's far from the most expensive watch in my collection, it has become one of my favorites and is on my wrist more frequently than any of my other timepieces. Not only does it possess a classic look that goes well with whatever I'm wearing, its light weight continues to surprise me; I often forget that I'm wearing it.And for those who complain about this - or any other titanium watch - scratching when rubbed against soft surfaces, sorry, but "titanium" does not mean "scratch-proof". Although titanium is a harder metal than stainless steel, it unfortunately oxidizes easily. This causes titanium surfaces to look dull and the oxide layer is softer than the underlying titanium metal. This layer is easier to scratch and when it does, the brighter titanium surface below becomes visible.

I had been looking for a quality titanium watch for regular day to day use. This watch is a great combination of titanium toughness/light weight and Seiko quality. Grey elegance... fantastic!

I am extremely happy with this Seiko. First titanium watch I've ever owned, so even though I knew it would feel light, I wasn't prepared for how light it would feel. It still has a nice presence on my wrist.The hardlex crystal is very clear, and the face of the watch has a clean look. The alarm function was as tricky to set as others have noted, but I finally understood it. Surely, the instructions could be written better, but it's not the end of the world.Very happy with adding this Seiko to my collection.
