Easy installation; seems to work well so far

I just bought and installed this unit a few days ago. It was REALLY EASY, and only required flat and Philips head screwdrivers. The unit seems to be working well so far. I will note that it is a bit louder than the Insinkerator Evolution units my friends have (but to be fair, the largest unit that any of my friends have is 3/4hp). Also, the throat of the sink flange is a 1/2 inch to 1 inch narrower than that of comparable Insinkerators (on the upside, between having to put down smaller pieces of food, and having 1-1/4hp, you'll probably never jam it).Re the installation - THE ONLY SOMEWHAT TRICKY PART IS THAT YOU HAVE TO PULL THE MOUNT RING DOWN WITH ENOUGH FORCE TO FLEX THE RUBBER CUSHION MOUNT (the cushion mount is the rubber ring that keeps the mount ring from falling down, and goes in the bottom of the sink assembly last, right before actually attaching the disposal unit). The mount ring is the metal ring that actually holds the large disposal unit in place. I.e., you turn the mount ring to lock the large disposal unit in. If you don't pull the mount ring down with some force, it will seem like it's not deep enough to reach the disposal unit. For the foregoing reason, IT IS HELPFUL TO HAVE A SECOND PERSON so that you can use both hands to pull down on the mount ring. Alternatively (i.e., instead of a second person), you can use a small, wide can (like a small lacquer can) and/or books, shims or towels to hold the disposal unit close against the rubber cushion mount, so that you can pull down the mount ring somewhat forcefully with both hands.A few last pieces of advice: (1) use the included rubber seal [between the sink flange and the sink] ONLY on a stainless steel sink. If you have a porcelain sink, USE PLUMBER'S PUTTY instead of the rubber seal; and (2) the bolts that tighten the discharge tube flange to the unit have both a socket head and a philips screw indentation. If possible, USE A SOCKET WRENCH because you want that screwed in fairly tightly.
