APC AV 1kVa 120V S Type Power Conditioner/Battery Backup

This unit was purchased out of necessity and after lots of reviewing. I needed something with a voltage regulator, spike supressor, battery backup, readable info display, user friendly, durable, reliable and won't break the budget. Our house has poor electrical power delivery. Voltage irregularities causes our TV and entertainment system to shut down and reboot. I already had to send my AV Reciever to the warrented repair shop and they saved it. I wasn't about to buy new equipment each time the power went wonky. Enter the APR Power Conditioner. It handles the voltage problem, spikes, keeps the system on long enough to finish a movie, adjustable, informative and nice to look at with it's blue lighting which is adjustable. Many power glitches have occured and no problems. Not one. We unfortunately had a major southwestern power outage this summer and it came in handy to power a fan to keep us cool for many hours. Hows that for getting your money's worth on a hot summers night with no power!? Yes, it is heavy. Yes, it is a little pricy. And yes, it will save me tons of money not having to buy new entertainment pieces, one at a time. My 55 inch Sony, Yamaha RX-3900,Cable box,PS-3 pull about 300+ watts, only about 1/3 of the max allowed. We also have two 1500 and one 1000 watt battery backups at home incase the lights go out again which covers other home items. Being prepaired isn't just a good moto, it's a way of life for some of us.APC AV 1kVA 120V S Type Power Conditioner with Battery Backup (S10BLK)Oh yes, almost forgot. There is hardly a fan sound noticeable since it is in the bottom of my home made entertainment cabinet.(not to mention the TV is on with suround sound) We keep the door ajar to keep the AV receiver cool.(Fans on it too)The unit is always cool, never hot, when I run things. Adjusting the control paramiters of the unit may take a short time to get use to depending on your electrical circumstial needs. The blue lighting on the front of the unit sort of gives you the feel of the lighting at the movies on the floor when the movie is on. Cool.
