Product Description
Building on the award winning AIM series of fully pivoting ceiling speakers, the new In-wall AIM LCR series dramatically improves flexibility of in-wall applications. The AIM LCRs have been timbre matched to SpeakerCraft's AIM8 , AIM7, MT and CRS Speakers, providing an outstanding home theater experience. With a dual woofer and a single dome tweeter configuration the In-wall AIM pivots side to side or up and down (depending on vertical or horizontal installation) by 17 degrees. The pivoting tweeters can be angled an additional 30 degrees. This allows physical tow-in or vertical adjustments while remaining completely flush in the wall. This proprietary feature sets the AIM LCR apart from all other in-wall offerings in the industry. The In-wall AIM LCR will be available in two models with the same driver configuration. The AIM LCR One features two 5 1/4 inch injection molded graphite cone woofers with phasing plugs and a single 1 inch silk dome tweeter. The AIM LCR Three upgrades to dual 5 1/4 inch magnesium cone woofers with phasing plugs and a single magnesium dome tweeter. With the number of flat panel displays and full in-wall home theaters being installed today, the In-wall AIM LCR is a perfect solution for the entire front sound stage left, center and right.Pivoting Woofers:The woofers in all AIM LCR models pivot independently of the tweeters, meaning you can direct the low frequencies for a precise acoustical fit. It's a feature you won't find in ordinary in-wall speakers.

great speakers
By Scope
Amazingly either nobody buys these or noone bothers to leave a review but these are great speakers, its hard for me to compare these against other less expensive in wall speakers because my old speakers where 15 years old with damaged cones connected to 10 year old recever which died anyway. So after weeks for researching speakercraft/definitive/axiom/polk i decided on these because of great price on amazon ($285) from the used section where note was that they were brand new. I didn't expect brand new, but i think i did get brand new, the box was retaped a couple of times but speakers were in brand new condition sealed properly so they're mostlikely factory resealed/openbox/refurbished. These speakers have aluminum cones and tweeters which gives them brigher/better highs which is better for home theater. i have them installed in wall with special fiberglass in the back that absorbs sounds commign from the back of the speaker. Installation was easy, each of the 6 mounts moves in postion and tightens to the wall as you screw them in. Removing a speaker was easy too, when you unscrew them to remove the speaker it was also very easy, the mount losens and goes back to up postion and speaker comes out without problems, they are plastic mounts so you can break them im sure if you're not careful. I have these running through denon 2310ci via hdmi. At first i had RCA connections because i didn't have my hdtv yet and via RCA they sounded horrible and i thought that i wasted my money but after connecting via hdmi and was a world of difference, highs are very crisp and mids are great too which was supprising because i expected mids to suck because of aluminun cones, so i was goign to get a different brand (definitive technology) for center chanell to compensate...but now i defintely will get more of these because they're great quality speakers (currently i'm runnign 2.1) They're quite heavy about 10-15 lb each, and have a very solid feel when you handle them, the cross over circuit board in the back is sealed in red plastic box (sexy) on most other speakers its exposed. Obviously you need a subwoofer because these 5.25" cones do not produce any bass. They also look very good on the wall, very low profile, the grill is light grey and very see-through, you can see the tweeter and cones easily. Once you snap the grill it will be flush so in its not easy to take it out, you have to insert a needle or something small in one of the holes and pull it out carefully. You will need 12 gauge wire, i used cheapest oxygen free i could find. You can also easily adjust angle of the speakers i think up to 20 degrees or so and you can adjust tweeter angle independently. there is addtinal three wire (not removable) grill on the tweeter to protect it from accidental touching. you can also add/subtract gain on highs and mids, but they sound great out of the box.Cons:- NonePros:- very bright highs (great for movies)- very good mids- adjust angle

Love it
By J. Wesley
Installed the speakers in our 7.1 surround sound home theater. They sound great and perform really well. I purchased 5 of these and 2 other related speakers by speakercraft (ceiling mount). If you plan on painting the speaker grills use an airbrush to spray the paint on. Don't forget to remove the soft white fabric material. We tried multiple techniques and an airbrush is perfect. We have two different paint guns, rollers, etc. Using an airbrush (ie: for models or T-Shirts should be just fine) and you will love the end result. You are able to easily manage the flow of paint and air pressure. All our grills look beautiful.
