Easy walk to the mountain

I bought this pack to replace a large duffle for carrying ski gear and lunch from my ride to the lodges at ski areas. I have only used it one time but it does everything that I expected. I had to reduce the amount of extra gear (extra gloves socks hats etc.)to make it all fit into this pack, but this efficient backpack carries everything that I need for the entire day plus my helmet and bulky ski boots strap on the outside conveniently. With the Team Pack Ski Boot Bag I now have a secure, comfortable way to carry my gear and still have two hands free to hold skis and poles as I weave through the parking lots and up steps to the lodge.If I were designing this pack I would have added a few extra pockets and or attachments to the outside and perhaps an insulated pocket for a small thermos of coffee. I also might have used heavier materials for the bag and attachments, with the weight of boots and helmets there can be a lot of stress on the materials. Ski bags also tend to get kicked around a lot and need to be as tough as any other bag to survive. I am not an expert on these materials but this pack seems lighter duty than some brand name snowboard bags but sturdier than most student book packs. Of course, if it was designed my way, it wouldnt be available for such a reasonable price.I purchased the larger of two sizes available for this pack and I am very glad I did, maybe a kid could make do with less volume but I am sure that I would have to do away with something that I usually carry if I had purchased the smaller version.

THis is a great bag. I bought one for everyone in my family - racers and ski patrollers. One of us is skiing almost every day during the week and we all ski about 3-4 times per week average. So, we've got a lot of gear to carry and we do it a lot.WIth this bag, you can get all your stuff in one bag, get it on your back and easily carry your skis and poles in from the parking lot in one trip. The harness is good on the bag, I don't need a waist strap.In this, I can get all my gear, including a knee brace, two sets of goggles (day and night), a down sweater, an additional thin fleece layer, 3 pairs of gloves, hat and small accessory bag, boot heater batteries, boot driers for the ride home, assorted other stuff like wax, wax brush, glove liners, chemical heater packs, etc... UHF patrol and race radios and harness.I'd give this 5 stars, but on my bag (two years old) the plastic buckles broke and I had to replace them. They should use higher quality buckles. That said, this ski bag has lasted longer than any other I have ever had. Other bags that are similar depend on the zipper to hold the boots up. Bad idea - the zipper blows up in short order. I'm pretty hard on my gear so you may not have this problem. Either way, I'd not let that affect my decision. THis is the bag to get.

Awesome organizer!

This is the ideal ski boot bag. It cleanly organizes boots, helmet, extra layer clothing and lunch, all in one place. Backpack straps help you easily carry it from parking lot to ski lodge. While you're skiing it folds down small enough to fit in a quarter-size locker. Well worth the price.
