great sound/bad recording.

This thing has incredible sounds, especially if you're a string lover like me! I will say it is not good for recording external instruments as you have to buy two dimms for memory and record your tracks separately before you import them to make a song and it assumes you're in 4/4 timing when you do. Its not really meant for recording other gear. I will say it's worth getting for the sounds you get but NOT as a recorder for other instruments than itself. I sent it back because I bought it for recording which it couldn't deliver. I will miss it for it's sound and tone and will probably buy it again to add beautiful music to my tracks once my home studio is complete and I get real recording software or hardware unlike this.

great if you are a musician

This keyboard is great but not as great as some publicity you can find on the net. The voices sound quality is very good but e.g. the sax sound or guitars quite adequate are nothing to write home about. Do buy this keyboard if you are an experienced/trained musician but don't buy it if you don't have that knowledge no matter how good and funny Bert Smorenburg demos are. I did make the mistake of buying it without any knowledge just because I spent some time "playing" with it at the store and thought I could play in PERFORMANCE MODE with all the automatic arpeggios but after a while (more sooner than later) that sound can become boring and you DO NEED to play it on your own. If this keyboard was way cheaper I could have keep it as a cool toy for playing some rhythm and spacey sound but doing that with such an expensive keyboard is such a waste I felt guilty and returned it.
