This is a great DVD storage system. It has taken some abuse from my 18 month old son, we put a lock on it to keep him out, and he yanks the door every day multiple times a day. My one complaint is that to store the DVDs you have to store them in two rows one in front of the other. We don't always watch all our DVDs though so its no big deal. Plus the top and bottom shelves are too short for DVDs to stand up, we had to lay them down. Oh and when assembling it, be sure to put it together right, we had to disassemble and reassemble because we had the sides switched. The directions aren't the greatest but we managed to put it together.

By F. Fowler
...at least to me, because I thought some pictures made it look rather burgundy. I'm giving this 4 stars because of two or three construction points, one of which is that there were only two holes drilled for each of the door clasp screws (there were supposed to be three per clasp, but since it was the middle pre-drilled hole that was missing, the top and bottom screws held it securely for the time being). Secondly, it would have been helpful if there had been a clear illustration of only ONE of the side panels showing where the various bolts and screws went. Finally, for anyone putting this together, BEFORE you connect the top of the booth ( unless you have a short Phillips screwdriver), go ahead and screw in the magnet that fits underneath it; otherwise a regular sized Phillips is too long to fit between the magnet and the top shelf. In the instructions, this isn't done until everything but the door is put on. This looks to be the exact same as the more expensive Holly & Martin Jasper phone booth, but if it isn't, it's still quite handsome. There was an area where the paint was a bit scratched, but it's cheaper and less trouble to buy a small bit of matching paint at the craft store than ship this back; besides, it's one of those self-assembly painted pieces of furniture that is probably never going to arrive 100% unscathed (or stay that way for long). Took me awhile to assemble, but I did it by myself. Was it worth the price? Probably not, but I don't think you would find one for less unless maybe it was after Christmas.

By MouseMargo
Very interesting piece and sturdy too. Our Superman Room needed a phone booth and our movies needed a home. I love the look. The top is flat so I am able to set a lamp on top and no longer need the side table. Pros: Instructions for assembly were fabulous. Every piece was marked and easily identified. Sturdy piece of furniture for the price. Cons: assembling the door was a bit tricky for me. It does not seem to be quite square to the booth so it catches a bit. Wish the shelves were adjustable since some of my old VHS cases do not fit standing up. Can get 2 rows on one shelf but can't see what is on the back row without taking out front movies. Perhaps if the back of the booth was like the sides and front so you could see in and the base swiveled 360 degrees, I would have given this 5 stars.
