Dug a 20 Inch deep by 15 inch wide hole in my front yard to fix yard drainage issue, water puddles up in my front yard it looks like a lake when it rains hard. went to store & purchased a hose with a 1 1/2 inch adaptor, threw the sump pump in the hole and this pump worked it's magic. I highly recommend this pump.

I cannot believe we didn't purchase this product years ago! For 15 years we had a sump pump that never worked the way it was supposed to I now know. We were running downstairs in rainstorms to turn it on with a stick and off when the water drained, geez! We were leery to purchase I suppose because we didn't realize you could get one that actually worked. It turns itself on and off and Works beautifully. In my mind the Superior pump is perfect!

I ordered this pump in anticipation of moving trapped rainwater out of a construction site. It arrived promptly on the day we received about 5" of rain. The shipping box looked wet on the outside..I thought it was water. The inner product box was wet too, but I needed to get the unit in service so I still assumed rain had gotten on it after it was dropped off. I opened it and it was all oily on the outside.Investigation found that the plastic "O"-ring that seals the motor had been cracked due to overtorquing on the oil fill hole plug. It had leaked oil all over the packaging. I replaced the o-ring and put it in service, and it has been working fine. The oil level looks ok, although I really don't know what the proper fill level is.So it is a good value, but watch out for bad QC.
