Well made, good details

This light was part of a complete bathroom remodel. We bought it based on a picture in the Kohler catalog, having never seen it in person. The fixture has a good, heavy feel. The metal parts are substantial. The brushed nickel and clear finish are very well done. The mount bracket is solid and had all the screws and wire nuts needed. Very nice quality at a reasonable price.

DO NOT PURCHASE

Do not purchase this item. The chrome gets dangerously hot when the lamp is lit. I discovered the problem while I was dusting the lamp and the back of my hand came into contact with the metal. I thought I had burned my skin. I switched to 60 watt bulbs (I had been using the maximum recommended 100 watt bulbs) and the same occurred. I am replacing the lamp ASAP!

Solid and charming

Overall a good product. Very solid and somewhat heavy. good quality. Only negative is that when screwed to the wall it doesn't sit flush to the brick tiled wall. The design has a part protruding part at the back which stops it from sitting flush to the wall without drilling a large hole into the tile.
