By jeffreez
I was searching for years for a proper memorial for my beloved chocolate point siamese. I rent an apartment so there was no way I was going to lay her to rest in the ground here when there is no guarantee that I would be living here forever. That also ruled out any exterior markers or stones. Her cremains were modestly put in a tin box supplied by my Veterinarian because I was financially strapped due to previous medical expenses in the hopes for a cure for my companion of 16 years. Obviously, I didn't want to have to disrupt the tin and put the contents into an over-priced commemorative animal statue, nor did I care for the appearance of cast resin. In my humble opinion, resin tends to look cheap and I just couldn't do that to my best friend. I also wasn't looking for anything whimsical or cutesy-cutesy because that was the complete opposite direction of attempting to provide a dignified respectful resting place for my best friend. When I saw this "treat jar" on Amazon, I measured the tin and discovered it would fit into this lidded jar with room to spare. This looks sophisticated yet subdued and is the perfct memorial for my pet. I have it on my bedroom dresser so that I can remember her first thing in the morning and have her be my last thought of the day. I am still on the fence if I want to go to a trophy shop and have an engraving plate with her name and dates of life made to apply to the front of the vessel. Thank you Arthur Court for a solution that warms my heart daily!

By Virginia Ann Watkins
I love this well-made beautiful jar for my cat food. It is on my kitchen counter and matches my countertop. It is vacuumed to hold in the moisture of the food as well.
