A cool chess set!

I got this set for my 10yr old son, as he has been enjoying the game of chess over the last year or so. This is a nice sized board - not too small like those 12" boards, but not so big that it wont fit on the coffee table.The chess pieces are quality, with a good weight. They are made of wood and have little accents on them. The pieces fit securely inside the board when not in use in preformed spaces so they cant roll around or get broken.

Good board for the price.

I wanted to get a board for my son (9) that would be something a little special, to help keep his interest, without spending too much. The board and pieces are made from very light wood, so it doesn't really have a high quality feel to it, but both board and peices have more character than a plain cheapo set. We will eventualy upgrade, but this is a good set for the price.
