Excellent for occasional and everyday use

I have owned the Novel trailer for over 18 months and have used it extensively to commute with my dog. I have found it to be excellent in quality and workmanship and well worth the investment. I have also used a Burley child trailer with my children and this trailer exceeds the Burley in all aspects. My 85 pound lab fits comfortably inside, the trailer tows well and is balanced. It corners well (even at speeds exceeding, by a wide margin, what is recommended by the manufacturer). The hitch has worked well and is simple to operate. The hubs are well designed and allow you to remove the wheels with the push of a button. And the fold down "kickstand" allows me to disconnect it from the bike and let my dog hang out in it. I would highly recommend this for a dog owner who takes their dog with them...

Quality product

This is a well-constructed dog trailer. It uses good quality materials and seems built to last. It has thoughtful touches like a tall flag, reflective strips, an easy-to-clean floor and rip-resistant mesh windows. The only drawback I found was the user manual. It uses words to explain steps when a diagram would be much more helpful. The manual does have a few pictures, but they are black-and-white and it took me some time to comprehend what they were showing me.It took me less than 15 minutes to put the trailer together. Hitching the trailer to my hybrid bike proved to be a simple process as well. Riding with the trailer hitched doesn't seem to require any extra effort on level ground, but you do feel it when going up inclines. My dog gets scared easily, so I have been going on short rides around the neighborhood to get him used to riding in it.

The quality of this doggy trailer is absolutely the best. Best decision I ever made. The trailer is built strong and well. NO cheap parts at all! Stable ride, great corning. So if you want to deck out your trailer here are things I found. The trailer comes with the storage bag, and the dog leash lead for 2 dogs, and the safety flag. No need to purchase these separately. I also purchased the kickstand which is well built and holds the trailer up to load and unload your pets. I wanted the roof rack, but didn't like the idea that it was stated you couldn't use it with the stroller option. Well that's true, but there is a way around it. Install the roof rack. Drill four small holes into the roof rack frame for the stroller holder and install your stroller handle. Takes just 15 minutes and your done. You have both the roof rack and stroller! And it doesn't reduce quality or stability. For the stroller I purchased DoggyRide Original or Novel Jogger-Stroller Conversion Set (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004227UAK/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). This is an awesome and solid stroller wheel. It allows you to use it as a jogger wheel for straight movement and then release a pin, and it turns into the swivel stroller wheel. No need to purchase the extra swivel wheel, like I made the mistake of doing.Then I bought this Collapsible Storage Crate Gray (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VFKTE6/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) at Amazon, and it is the perfect fit for the roof rack. It has holes on the side to attach the crate with a bungee cord. Collapse it when not in use and pop it up in seconds when needed. Then for further comfort features for the humans, I bought this Britax Stroller Organizer at Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007CTPWXW/ref=oh_details_o08_s02_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) to attach to the stroller handle to have 2 drink holders and a place for keys, camera, and small things.Now to allow time for the dog(s) to run along side the stroller, buy the Buddy - Hands free dog leash connector - biking, jogging, hiking, walking (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006CVAW7C/ref=oh_details_o08_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) at Amazon to attach to the roof rack. Then get the Keeper 06152 24" Bungee Cord (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FCGUAM/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and that can attach to your pets harness. Let the dogs run until then get tired, then put them in the trailer. I bought several sizes of the Carabiner Keepers, but the 24# worked best with the stroller.So now, I can ride my bike to the store with the trailer attached. Quickly swap to the stroller wheel, pop up up collapsible crate, do my shopping, then bike back home. No need to leave the trailer and the dogs outside to be stolen. It's the perfect setup.Now customer care. I called the dealer of Doggy Ride to ask questions. Phone was answered by a live person on the 1st ring. Received my answers quickly with a knowledgeable person. There were no issues with the trailer or assembly. Just general questions. So Assembly was a 5 stars and Customer Service was a 5 stars.Definitely, it you are looking for a pet trailer/stroller, this is the way to go. I know by time I got done with everything I wanted, it was more expensive than the other products, However the quality and versatility are so worth the price and outweigh the other options. I'd make this purchase again without hesitation. Given the quality and superior parts, this will last forever.
