5Wonderful perfume and great seller
By asiana
I was delighted to find that Mitsouko was available on-line as major department stores no longer carry this wonderful scent. The seller was exceptionally prompt and I would definitely order from them again.

5Mitsouko perfume
By B. Kuether
itsouko is a classic Guerlain perfume. When you smell it you know why. It is not easy to find fine perfumes in the era of "celebrity" products. Great service; the real thing.

5Classic, but not for everyone
By Elizabeth C. Jones
The House of Guerlain has been around since 1828, and has produced some of the most complex, innovative perfumes in the world. Shalimar is arguably Guerlain's most famous fragrance. It dates to 1925, and was one of the first perfumes made to capitalize on the worldwide Oriental craze of that era, which has never really died in the perfume industry. Jacques Guerlain, a 3rd-generation perfumer, formulated Mitsouko in 1919 and it has been in production ever since. Mitsouko is a classic Oriental--sweet, spicy and strong. It's true of most perfumes but with Mitsouko it's a must--go easy--or it will be an "office clearer."As for what's in it, and what you can expect to smell, the top note is bergamot, (orange), followed by heart notes of peach, rose, iris, clove, and jasmine, and finishing with vetiver (green), oakmoss (musky), and labdanum, which is a sticky resin derived from a Mediterranean shrub. Labdanum smells something like balsam; very woodsy. I can't necessarily smell all these elements on the same wearing. Different notes come to light at different times, but it always works, and the fragrance is very sophisticated and grown-up, and once you've gotten a whiff you'll never forget it. Mitsouko is sometimes regarded as an "old ladies in the drawing room" kind of scent, but those ladies often had good sense and good taste. Mitsouko is never out of date but it has its place, which is generally for formal or romantic use--or both; it was my wedding perfume in 2012.
