Great Rack!

I was really surprised at the strength and stability of this 4 place bike rack. I've seen other racks that hold this many bikes, and they can be shakey. This one also mounts to your vehicle easily. The bikes attach quickly, easily, and securely. I took a 6 hour drive with four bikes on this rack...and many portions of the trip were gravel roads. The rack held up great, and bikes were secure. It's my new favorite way to carry so many bikes! No more trying to force them into the back of my truck :) Thanks Jack's Tool Shed for this great product, and at a great price :)

Solid rack, but had to return once due to inconsistent parts

This rack is rock solid. I love it! it easily holds the three bikes I put on it, with room enough for a fourth. It comes with a strap to tie it all together.When I first got my rack, I assembled it, only to find out that the cotter bolt for holding the rack upright was not drilled in the right place, preventing the cotter key from fitting in. I called support (which is Thule, by the way) and they told me to simply return the whole rack to Amazon. Seems like a waste for one bolt issue, but Amazon shipped me a new one without trouble. If you order this rack, just open the box right away and try assembling. I should also note that both racks which I received had been opened before. One had a manual with a page torn out, and the other had all the zip ties cut and parts just lying around in the box. Neither of these bothered me, since it is essentially sturdy metal. Just double check to make sure your parts are good and you have all of them.I should also note that the instructions don't mention a couple black pieces of plastic. Those fit along the base, where the vertical pole attaches. I assume these are some buffer material to help prevent against damage on bumps and what not.The only other issue is that there is no place to hook a lock on. I got creative with a cable lock and a heavy duty pad lock attached to the safety chain hookup on the trailer hitch. It's a hassle, but gets the job done.

I like the fact that you can take 4 bikes and haul your trailer too.works for me love it plus looks cool too
