Great shoes - last of a dying breed for J&M

The Aldrich II is one of the few shoes J&M still manufacturers in America (at least when I bought them in the summer of 2001). That was 10 years ago now so I can't say for sure that their premium line (Aristocraft) is still made in Nashville but I think it is.The quality of the American-made Aristocraft line is on par with other high-end shoes like Allen Edmonds (of which I also own several pairs). The leather is high quality soft calfskin, not stiff like so many cheaper shoes. The craftmanship is superb. Soft leather linings with nice cushioning. After 10 years of wear (heavy the first 2-3 years but occasional wear now) my Aldrich IIs still look almost new and are ready for resoling.

Great Shoes

I love these shoes. The construction quality is top notch. My only complaint is the sizing is weird; I wear an 11 in almost everything and needed a 10 here (width is true to size). I also thought they'd be made in USA, but my pair was from India.

I decided to spend a little extra and purchase this J&M shoe. It was absolutely the best buy I could have made. The shoes are perfectly crafted and fit better than any others ever could. You can examine the inside cushion, the soles, or the uppers and you see the quality that so many other shoes do not have. I'll be buying more J&M shoes in the same "price" range.
