it hot enough to curl my hair. I just need to use it for 10-15 sec in each hair section. It creates a lovely soft curl to my hair. but you need longer than shoulder length to get the curls right, I tried to use on my friend which has shoulder (or slightly shorter) length hair and I just made some wave to it! so I recommend a smaller cone if you have shorter hair.

This is a neat curling iron and in my experience so far, (I've only had a chance to use it twice) it is easier to use than a traditional curling iron with a clip. I debated over the different brands of clipless irons before choosing this one because of its lower price and am not disappointed. Great seller, with a very fast shipment!
