Picks Up Where Pyrex Left Off

I was always a fan of Pyrex glassware. My family had been using it for decades. Unfortunately, thanks to The current Powers That Be, soda lime glass has replace the sturdy bicarbonate glass and ultimately lead to an inferior product (unless you live in Europe, where the original Pyrex formula glassware is still sold in stores). Imagine my surprise that I had to get what used to be derigour in the US from a company in France. Yes, FRANCE!The 9X13 inch square glass baking dish is sturdy, and resilient. It may not be coated with some fancy chemical to prevent food sticking but that's not what I was after. I wanted a quality glass casserole dish for all my baking needs and this one is doing the job so far! With a 20 year warranty, I can expect a good product for a long time to come and perhaps even beyond. It's dishwasher safe and has held up to all sorts of foods and temperature variations. I plan to purchase a few more items from Arcuisine as soon as budget allows. It's definitely money well spent.
